Elkader Register, Thur., 9 May 1907. Elkport and Vicinity column.

Mrs. John Rogers, aged about 47 years, died at her home last Tuesday night of lung fever, which followed an attack of measles. She leaves a husband and nine children, five boys and four girls, some of whom are quite small. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.

(Note: An apparent reference to Maggie Rogers, 1862 - 7 May 1907, shown in the WPA records.)
