The sudden and unexpected death on Thursday afternoon, March 7th, 1907, of Mrs. Henry Toutsch, at her home near Elkader, was a great shock to the relatives and friends.
Jennie M. Boller was born in Vangels, Holste__, Germany, Feb. 18th, 1876. She came to this country with her parents at the age of four years, they making their home at Farmersburg, Iowa. On June _th (a single digit, possibly 6 or 8), 1905, she was united in marriage with Henry Toutsch, and to them was born one child, Bernice Theresa, aged three months, who, with the husband and father, survive to mourn the loss of a loving mother and wife. She also leaves to mourn her death her aged father and mother, two brothers, Charles and Henry, and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Wahls, of Farmersburg, and Emma, of St. Paul, Minnesota.
The funeral was held at St. Joseph's Catholic church, at Elkader, Saturday forenoon at ten o'clock, Rev. J. F. Reilly officiating, and was largely attended by relatives and friends.
