At 4:20 this Thursday morning, March 7th, 1907, at her home in Elkader, Mrs. J. B. Shelhamer passed away in the 81st year of her life.

Catherine Bunclo was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Aug. 24th, 1826. She came to this country at the age of four years. In 1846 she was united in marriage with John Liming. To them were born five children, one dying in infancy and one daughter, Mrs. Lottie Turner, dying April 5th, 1885.

Mr. Liming died in 1857 and in 1867 she married J. B. Shelhamer, and they resided in Wagner township for a number of years when they moved to Elkader. Mr. Shelhamer died Dec. 8th, 1896.

Three children, John Liming, of Primghar, Ia., Mrs. E. W. Shuck, of Geddes, S.D., and Mrs. R. B. Nichols, of Elkader, and one stepdaughter, Mrs. H. S. Patterson, survive to mourn her loss. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the Congregational church.
