Elkader Register, Thur., 28 Feb. 1907. Monona column.

Died at the home of his parents, three miles north of Monona, Wednesday, February 13th, 1907, at 4 o'clock p.m., of lung trouble, Albert Edward Colby, aged 21 years, 9 months and 5 days. Albert Colby was born in East Pri__n, Germany, May 8, 1885, and came to America with his parents in 188_, where they settled in Marion Junction, Turner Co., S.D., remaining till in 1894, when they moved to Monona, Ia., where they have since resided. He leaves to mourn his untimely death a father, mother, three brothers, Fred A., of North McGregor, Gus and Otto at home, and many friends who extend to the grief stricken family their heartfelt sympathy in their hour of affliction. Funeral services were held in the German Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. Otto Wappler, Friday, Feb. 15th. Burial in Lutheran cemetery.
