Last Monday at 12:20 at her home northeast of this city occured the death of Mrs. Hoyer after an illness of about two weeks. The cause of death was brights disease.

The funeral services were held Wednesday forenoon at ten o'clock at the German Lutheran church and were conducted by Rev. Graf. Interment took place in Strawberry Point cemetery.

Mary Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Opperman of this city was born in October, 1891, being twenty years, nine months and nine days old at the time of her death.

A year ago last January she was united in marriage to Carl Hoyer. Besides the husband and parents there are three brothers, two sisters, many girlhood friends, relatives and acquaintances to mourn the death of the deceased who was a good wife and respected by all who knew her.
