Helen Mae Patterson was born at Bedford, Ohio, October 13th, 1841, and died at Fitzgerald, Georgia, January 13th, 1916. She was married to Hiram Deyo, at Strawberry Point, November 16th, 1858, and they resided here until November, 1895, when they moved to Central, Ga., where the city of Fitzgerald was founded. She leaves to mourn her death seven children, twenty-seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The children, Mrs. Irene Huntington, of Strawberry Point; Mrs. Berthene Clawson, of Monona, Iowa; S. E. Deyo, of La Crosse, Wis.; and H. B. and G. S. Deyo, of Fitzgerald, Ga., were present at the funeral, and Mrs. Floy Bramhall, of Wyalusing, Pa., and Archie Deyo, of Fitzgerald, Ga., were unable to attend on account of sickness. The funeral was held from the residence of L. E. Huntington, services by Rev. Rose, pastor of the M. E. church. Burial in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
