Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 20 Jan. 1916. Littleport column.

Mrs. Aug. Bendschneider died at her home the early part of last week from a complication of diseases. She was an old resident here and is widely known. She leaves her husband, four sons and three daughters to mourn her loss. The funeral was held at the Lutheran Church, burial taking place at the Ruegnitz cemetery.

Note: Ruegnitz cemetery is aka Blanchaine cemetery. It is located in Volga twp., not far from Elkport. A shared gravestone for August & Augusta is in the cemetery.
