Funeral services for Aneita Mullarkey were held Saturday, January 4, 1986, at 10 a.m. at Garden City United Methodist "white" Church, Monona, with Rev. Marion Bloodworth officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, Iowa. Schultz's Funeral Home was in charge of services.
Aneita Lucile Mullarkey, the daughter of William J. and Celia (Yearous) Allert, was born June 25, 1895, on a farm at Giard, Iowa. She was baptized in the Garman Methodist Church at Giard, Iowa, on November 3, 1895, by Rev. W. V. Schlung and confirmed in catechism April 11, 1909, by Rev. F. O. Barz. Mrs. Mullarkey was united in marriage to William A. Mullarkey on February 14, 1918, at the home of her parents in Froelich, Iowa. To this union a son William was born. They made their home at Charles City, IA, where Mr. Mullarkey was engaged in business known as the Puritan Ice Cream Company. They lived there until they moved to Madison, Wisc., in 1931. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Bethany group of business and professional women of that city. She had been employed by W. O. Zimmerman Plumbing and Heating. She became a member of Garden City United Methodist Church, Monona, after she moved here in 19__ she became a resident of Schmitt Woodland Hills of Richland Center, Wisconsin.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband William A. Mullarkey, who passed away March 14, 1955, in Madison, Wisc.
Surviving are her son William A. Mullarkey, Jr., her grandson Michael, both of Madison, Wisc., a sister Martha Eggert of Bradenton, Florida, a brother LaVerne Allert of McGregor, other relatives and many friends.
