Frances Caroline Bagby was born October 20th, 1832, in White County, Ill., and died June 9th, 1916, at her home in Elk township, at 8:00 a.m., aged 83 years, 7 months and 19 days, after an illness of three weeks. Her health had been poor for several years, but was stricken with pneumonia fever, which caused her death. She leaves one daughter and one step-son, three sisters and one brother, a kind and loving mother and other relatives and friends.
She was joined in wedlock to Meade Bloodworth on February 3rd, 1881, who preceded her in death.
She came to Iowa with her parents when about the age of 16, and joined the Methodist Church when about 18 years of age, and later joined the United Brethren Church, of which she was a member for about twenty years.
Burial took place Sunday with the funeral at 10:30, Rev. Baldwin officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in the Brown cemetery.
