Torkelson, Beda Roselin 1902 - 1916

Beda Roselin Torkelson was born June 8th, 1902. She was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Halvor Torkelson. She died June 5th, 1916, at the age of 13 years, 11 months and 27 days.

On the 24th day of October, 1915, she was confirmed at the Highland Lutheran Church, together with fourteen other young people. Beda had a very pleasant disposition. She was the sunshine of the home. She was always gentle and kind and had a pleasant smile for all she met, and was a good Christian child. She loved to sing the gospel hymns, her favorite song being "I Belong to Jesus."

The funeral services were held Wednesday, June 7th, at the Highland Lutheran Church. The young ladies who were confirmed in her class last fall sang her favorite song. The services were conducted by Rev. C. H. Hjortholm, the pastor of the church.
