The death of Hugh McKellar occurred Wednesday morning at his home west of town following an apoplectic stroke. Mr. McKellar had apparently been in excellent health for one of his advanced years and Saturday worked in the woods near his place. Sunday he was found unconscious on the floor at his home and his death followed as stated above. The funeral will be held from his home tomorrow afternoon at 1:30, and will be in charge of the Masonic lodge of this place.

The funeral services of the late Hugh McKellar were held last Friday afternoon in the Union Church in Illyria township, Fayette county, Rev. Cassel, of Elkader, officiating. Elkader Lodge No. 72 A.F. & A.M., of which deceased was a member, was in charge of the services. Interment was in the cemetery at the church.
