Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 24 Aug 1916.

Mrs. D. E. Ryan, formerly of McGregor, died at the home of her son Sheldon in Sioux City, Saturday, aged about 71 years. Her remains were brought to McGregor, Monday, and funeral services were held there that afternoon. Mrs. David Livingood and son, D. E. Livingood, of this place, and Mr. and Mrs. John Parsons, of Volga, were at the funeral. Mrs. Ryan was a sister of Mrs. Livingood and Mrs. Parsons.
