The little baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer died Tuesday morning last from bowel trouble. The child was sick only two days and four doctors were summoned to its relief, all of which proved to no avail. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.

Anita Doris Meyer, second child of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer, of Mederville, Iowa, died on Tuesday, August 1st, 1916, at the age of 1 year, 5 months and 25 days. On Sunday afternoon, July 30th, the little girl was taken seriously ill. Three doctors were called in consultation. All they could do was to relieve her pain, but could not save her life, and she passed away on Tuesday morning at 2 o'clock. She is survived by her grief-stricken parents, Mr. and Mrs. Meyer, grandparents and many other relatives.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. K. Wm. Braun, of Garnavillo, on Thursday, August 3rd, in both English and German, and the remains laid to rest in the Littleport cemetery.
