Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 20 July 1916. Strawberry Point column.
Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Lang received the sad news, Monday morning, that their son-in-law, Park Taylor, of Greeley, had committed suicide by shooting himself through the head. Mr. Taylor was engaged in the meat market and running a grocery store in connection. He was born and lived here nearly all his life excepting a few years spent at Fort Collins, Colo., and the last few years at Greeley. He leaves his wife, who was formerly Miss Donna Lang, of this place, and two daughters, Faye and Lucile, and one sister, Mrs. Lloyd Lathrop, of this place, besides a host of friends to mourn his death. Funeral services were held at Greeley, Wednesday morning, after which the remains were brought here for interment in our local cemetery.
