Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 9 Mar. 1911. Farmersburg column.

Anna Maria Harnack was born June 3, 1853, at Guttenberg, Iowa, and died at the family home in Read township, Feb. 28, 1911, of heart trouble. She reached the age of 57 years, 7 months and 27 days. In 1869 she was united in marriage to Carl Harnack and to this union 11 children were born, 4 of whom have preceded the mother in death. She is survived by her husband and seven children: Mrs. Jos. Matt, of National; Mrs. Wm. Buckman, Mrs. Geo. Wilker and Henry, of Farmersburg township; Chas., of Plymouth county, Iowa; and George and Amanda at home, also by 13 grandchildren, 5 brothers and one sister. The funeral was held Friday, Rev. Burkhard officiating. Interment at Garnavillo. Our sympathy goes out to the sorrowing family.
