Mathilda C. Schneider, whose departure we are called upon to mourn, was born on August 22, 1858. On July 3, 1878, she was united with Wm. Ulrich in marriage. To this union were born three children: Arthur F., of Dubuque, Sophia A., now Mrs. J. W. Allert, of McGregor, and Addie S., who still resides at home. She peacefully passed away at Rochester, Minn., on April 27, 1911, being 51 years, 8 months and 5 days of age. She leaves to mourn her loss an aged mother, Mrs. Martha Schneider, of Giard, Ia.; three sisters; Mrs. H. H. Smith, of Monona, Iowa; Mrs. Fred Mundt, of Madison, S.D.; and Mrs. Louis Mistz, of Los Angeles, Cal; and five brothers: Conrad Schneider, of Charles City, Iowa; Adam Schneider, of Garner, Iowa; Rev. Chas. Schneider, of Appleton, Wis.; Wm. Schneider, of Los Angeles, Cal.; and Dr. Herman Schneider, of Lebanon, Mo.; a son, two daughters and a devoted husband, who deeply feel their great bereavement. The funeral services were held on Monday, May 1st, at the M.E. Church, at Monona, Rev. James B. Bird officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Monona cemetery.
