John Tittle was born Feb. 28th, 1842. He was married at Danbridge, Tenn., Dec. 26, 1865; to this union seven children were born. He died at North Buena Vista April 25, 1911, at the age of 69 years, 2 months and 27 days. Funeral was held April 27th. The pall bearers were: Sam Ingles, David Birch, Antony Moser, Tena Huffman, Jim Haid, and P. B. Haid. John A. Bradley carried a large American flag in honor of the dead soldier. Left to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father are his wife, Delila Tittle, of North Buena Vista, three sons and four daughters, George and Lem Tittle, of Dubuque; Henry Tittle, of North Buena Vista; Mrs. Katie Barker, of Clayton, Ia.; Mrs. Maggie Besser, Mrs. Mary Allen and Mrs. Louisa Bradley, of Dubuque. Also three sisters, Miss Lucinda Tittle, Mrs. Mancy Guinn and Mrs. Phoebe Hum____, of New Market, Tenn.
