Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 4 May 1911.
Ole Thompson died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ed Larson, in Highland township last Saturday, April 29th, at the age of 78 years, after an illness covering a period of over six years.
Mr. Thompson was born in Norway April 24th, 1833, and came to the United States in 1866 and has been a resident pf this county ever since. He was married 46 years ago and was the father of six children, of which three are still living, two sons and one daughter, Steiner and Hulver and Mrs. Ed Larson. His wife preceded him to the grave sixteen years ago.
Funeral services were held on Monday at the Highland church, Rev. Berset, of Clermont, officiating.
May he rest in peace.
