Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 19 Oct. 1911.

Eunice Paulina Witte, the eleven-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Witte, of this place, passed away Monday morning, October 16th, after an illness of but little more than a week. Inflammatory rheumatism, affecting her heart, was the cause of her death.

She was born in Elkader April 21st, 1900, and was a sweet, lovable child, a favorite with her teachers and her little playmates. Her father, mother, one brother, two sisters and other relatives are left to mourn her untimely death, and the sympathy of our community goes out to them in their sorrow. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the German church, conducted by Rev. Franke. Interment in the East Side cemetery.
