Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 28 Dec. 1911. Guttenberg column,

On Monday morning occurred the death of John P. Eckart, Jr., the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Eckart, of this city, at the age of two months and three days. He was born September 23, 1911, and had been ailing for some time. All that loving hands could do and medical knowledge could suggest was done to stay off death, but all to no avail. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, Rev. K. W. Braun of Garnavillo, officiating. Interment in the city cemetery. The family has the sympathy of the entire community.
