On Sunday morning, November 19, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Huene, of this city, occurred the death of Mrs. Clara Collet, cause of death being old age. Deceased was born January 24, 1829, at Warrendorf, near Muenster, Prussia, and was 82 years, 9 months and 25 days of age at the time of her death. She came to America in 1859, settling at Dubuque, and where in 1860 she was married to Fred Collet. About 15 years ago they came to Guttenberg, where her husband engaged in business. Her husband preceded her in death about 5 years ago, and since that time she had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Huene, where she received the best of care until she passed away. Besides her daughter she leaves to mourn her death a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and relatives and friends. She was a kind and true wife, mother, neighbor and friend. The funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Mary's church, Rev. J. H. Brinkman officiating, and same was largely attended. The remains were laid to rest at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
