Fred Bosecker, of this city, on last Thursday received a message from Los Angeles, Calif., stating that his nephew Herman O. Vogel, of Los Angeles but formerly of Guttenberg, had passed away in Austria, where he had been visiting for some time. Thirty or more years ago he went to Los Angeles, Calif., with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Vogel to reside. His father J. R. Herman O. Vogel was also in the real estate business in Los Angeles and also a millionaire. Last spring Herman O. Vogel left on his third trip to tour Europe and had expected to return home soon. Deceased was a man of a pleasing personality and was well and favorably known in Guttenberg. The body will be brought to the United States and taken to Los Angeles for burial. His death is deeply mourned by his aged mother, Mrs. J. R. Vogel, one brother, Fred Vogel one sister Mrs. Amanda Salder all of Los Angeles and numerous other relatives and friends, who will all sadly miss him. He was a man who was held in high regard by all who had the pleasure of making his acquaintance.
