Clayton County Register, Thur., 11 Nov. 1926. Guttenberg column.
Alex Hansel, a highly respected resident of Garber, passed away suddenly on Friday morning at the age of 70 years, the cause of his death being heart trouble. He was married to Miss Agnes Foster. For many years Mr. Hansel was successfully engaged in farming in Clayton county, but of late, has been residing at Garber. Mr. Hansel was a kind and true husband, father, brother and friend. His greatest pleasure in life at all times was to do acts of kindness for his family and friends, which won him many warm friends during life. His death is deeply mourned by his widow, three daughters, several brothers and sisters and numerous other relatives and friends, who will all sadly miss this good man. The funeral was held at Garber on Sunday afternoon, and same was largely attended by relatives and friends from far and near, which showed that deceased was held in high regard by all who knew him.
