Mary Magdalene Harris was born at Uniontown, Penn., March 24, 1866. She died Aug. 28, 1926, at the age of sixty years, five months and four days. On Dec. 25, 1883, she was united in marriage to Edward Tinkey of Osterdock, Iowa. To this union five children were born, Mrs. Anna White of Colesburg, Iowa, William H. of Alexandria, Iowa, Mrs. Mae Troester of Millville, Ia., and Walter and Raymond who preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, three children, fourteen grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers. She was a member of the Presbyterian church. Mrs. Tinkey has been a great sufferer for years but her faith never failed her. Her testimony was that as she lay upon the bed suffering that He was ever present, helping and strengthening her. Funeral services were held in Bethel church by Rev. Hollingshead. Interment made in Bethel cemetery.
