Mrs. Agnes McGirl Berns died at her home in Rosemount, Minn., Aug. 27, 1926, at the age of 29 years, 5 months and 19 days. She was born at Ryan, Iowa, March 9, 1897, and lived there until 1915, when she moved to Elkport with her parents. She was united in marriage to Joseph Berns of Elkport on June 18, 1918, and they lived on a farm east of Monona. In the fall of 1920 they moved to Rosemount, Minn. Six children were born to this union, two girls and four boys, Margarette, Marietta, Joseph, Bernard, James and Francis.

The funeral was held at 10 o'clock, August 30, at St. Joseph's parish at Rosemount, Minn. The following relatives and friends from out of town attended the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Murrey and family of Farmington, Minn., Mrs. Theo. Berns and Mrs. George Kriebs of Elkport, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Berns and Leroy Berns of Garber,, Iowa, Mrs. Muench of Elkader, Iowa, John Zapf and A. L. Whittle of Littleport, Ia.
