Henry B. Gobbell, a former resident of Guttenberg , passed away at his home at Dubuque on Friday, after an illness of a long duration, and at the age of 76 years. Deceased was born in the state of Vermont on April 9, 1850, coming west when a young man. He had been a resident of Dubuque for the past 16 years, previous to that time being engaged in the grocery business at Guttenberg. He was a member of the Catholic church. His death is deeply mourned by one daughter, Mrs. John Althoff of Dubuque, one son, Harry Gobell of Dubuque, one sister, Mrs. Phoebe Jarris of Oakland, Cal., one brother, Ralph Gobell of St. Paul, Minn., and numerous other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church, Dubuque, on Saturday morning. The body was brought to Guttenberg for interment on Sunday morning.
