Mrs. Jessie Fricke, one of this community's most worthy mothers and long time highly respected residents, passed away at her home in this city on Monday morning at the age of 66 years and after an illness of a long duration. She was married at Guttenberg to Mr. John Fricke who preceded her in death a number of years ago. Two daughters have also preceded the mother in death. Mrs. Fricke was a kind and loving mother, sister and friend, always ready with heart and hand to help the needy. She was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran church. Her death is deeply mourned by two sons, Reuben Fricke of Denver, Col., and Oliver of Omaha, Nebraska, one granddaughter, two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Eppens of Guttenberg and Mrs. Louise Guss of Dubuque and numerous other relatives and friends by whom this good and true woman will be sadly missed. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Emil Lehne at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church in this city. The body was laid to rest in the city cemetery.
