Elkader Register, Thur., 8 Apr. 1926. Strawberry Point column.

Word was received Tuesday from Kansas City, Missouri, announcing the death of Mrs. George Staehle, a former resident of this place. The remains will be brought here Friday and the services will be held in the Congregational church in the afternoon under the auspices of the O.E.S. Interment will take place in the local cemetery.

(Note: WPA records indicate this is a reference to Lida Staehle, buried in Strawberry Point cemetery.)
