Amelia Graybill was born in Millville township to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Graybill, April 20, 1855, and departed from this life Jan. 20, 1926, being 70 years and nine months of age. She was married to Ansel Penhollow July 22, 1876. To this union were born 15 children, twelve of whom are living: Mrs. O. P. Smack of Oneda, Mrs. Mary Cirst, Mrs. Etta Klebbe of Oelwein, Mrs. Bertha Thompson, Richard, Alfred, Ernest and Mrs. Orpha Goeshal of Millville, Henry of Madison, Neb., Will and Glen of Burbank, Cal., Mrs. Blanch Minger of Guttenberg, George, Alice and Lydia preceded their mother.
She leaves to mourn her loss besides her children her husband, one sister, Mrs. Alice Truesdell of Blue Island, Ill., twenty-five grandchildren, a host of friends and other more distant relatives.
The funeral was held in the Goshen church Monday, Jan. 24th at 1:30 p.m. Rev. N. A. Holingshead conducted the services at the church and cemetery.
