Mrs. Frank J. Uriell died at her home here late last Wednesday evening, December 14, following an illness of considerable duration.

Mrs. Mary (Ryan) Uriell was born in Negaunee, Mich., March 13, 1863, the daughter of Jeremiah and Ellen Ryan and so at the time of her death had reached the age of 69 years, nine months and one day.

She came to this county as a small child and since 1898 has been a resident of Elkader, where her friendly disposition gained for her a host of friends. Prior to coming to Elkader she resided in Monona.

Mrs. Uriell was a quiet and unassuming woman. Her home and her children were her pride. She was a neighbor and a friend of the highest type and in her circle, where she was best known, she will be most missed.

Relatives and friends from a distance who attended the funeral services were: Mr. and Mrs. Dennis F. O'Leary, Mrs. D. O'Leary, Walter Madden, Joseph M. Shelly and Edward Loring, all of Minnesota; Emma Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Uriell and son of Chicago; Mrs. Ellen Glennon, Rochester, Minn.; Miss Mildred Uriell, Pittsburgh; Mr. and Mrs. Daniel F.
