GUTTENBERG: Mrs. Andrew J. Moser, nee Eliza Friedlein, died suddenly of apoplexy at her home in Guttenberg on Wednesday evening of last week at the age of 64 years, 11 months and 13 days. Her sudden death came as a shock, not only to her family, but to all in this community. Mrs. Moser was born at Guttenberg on Dec. 10, 1867, where she grew to womanhood. She received her education in the Guttenberg public schools. She was united in marriage with Andrew Moser in Millville township on March 13, 1888. For many years the family resided on a farm in Millville township. In the year 1917 the family came to Guttenberg to reside, where deceased spent the remainder of her life. Mrs. Moser was a true Christian woman in every respect. To do kind acts for her family and friends was her greatest pleasure in life at all times, which won her many friends, by whom her memories will forever be cherished. To know her was to love and respect her. She was one of this community's worthy mothers and life-long residents. She is survived by her husband, four sons, Jasper and Henry of Millville township, Elmer of Colesburg, and Sumner of Osterdock; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Fred N. Friedlein of Guttenberg, and George F. Friedlein of Perry, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Mueller of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Henry Moser, Sr., of Osterdock, and many other relatives and friends, by whom she will be sadly missed. One daughter has preceded the mother in death. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Royal Neighbor lodges. Funeral services were held at the Masonic Temple in Guttenberg on Saturday afternoon, The Rev. D. D. Welch of Dubuque officiating. The body was laid to rest in the city cemetery. The funeral was very well attended, which showed that deceased was held in high esteem by all who knew her.
