GUTTENBERG: Frank Vogt, long-time former resident of Guttenberg, died at the home of his son-in-law, Alois Frommelt, at Dubuque, Monday morning, at the age of 83 years. Deceased was born at Balzers, Fuerstenthum, Lichtenstein, Europe, where he grew to manhood and was married, his wife preceding him in death many years ago. After the death of his wife he came to America, settling in the state of Kansas for a time, then returning to Lichtenstein where he remained for a time and later came to America again and settled at Dubuque, where he lived for a short time and then came to Guttenberg to reside and where he lived for many years. He was married a second time at Guttenberg to Miss Katherine Keller, who died on July 2, 1912. After the death of his second wife he went to Dubuque to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Alois Frommelt, and family. His daughter preceded him in death five years ago. He is survived by his son-in-law, several grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. When a young man Mr. Vogt learned the stone-mason's and bricklayer's trades, which occupations he successfully followed for many years, later retiring. Mr. Vogt was a man of pleasing personality, held in high regard by all who knew him. The body was brought to Guttenberg for burial Wednesday morning, funeral services being conducted by the Rev. J. A. Dupont at St. Mary's Catholic church the same morning, with Interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery. The funeral was well attended.
