Services for Mrs. Myrna M. Hilkin, 79, formerly of 1790 Asbury Road, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Ed Siegert-Al Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where the rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Sunday and the VFW Women's Auxiliary will have a memorial service at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Hilkin, who was born in Watson, Iowa, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Manor Care Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Anthony's Rosary Society, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother.
Her first husband, James O. "Jack" Bennett died Nov. 3, 1943, and her second husband, Raymond Hilkin, died Feb. 6, 1985.
Surviving are a son, Donald Bennett of Manchester, Iowa; a step-daughter, Mrs. Harold (Betty) Welter of Dubuque, and 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A son, Robert J. Bennett, was killed in action at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.
