Garnavillo, Ia. - Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Church here for William Dickman, 78, pioneer resident, who died suddenly at his farm home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1861 in Garnavillo Township, Clayton County. He was married to Anna Ruckdaeschel on Nov. 9, 1886. His wife and one child preceded him in death.
He is survived by four daughters: Amanda, Malinda, and Mrs. Louise Wirkler, all of Garnavillo, and Mrs. Adelia Bareis of Postville; two sons, Othmar of Garnavillo and Ervin of Postville; two sisters, Mrs. George Mueller of Lincoln, Neb., and Mrs. J.W. Kregel of Monona, and seven grandchildren.

Note: his gravestone in the Garnavillo City cemetery is engraved C. William Dickman 1861-1939. Anna and their infant child are also buried there.
