GOULD, ZIMMERMAN, STIFEL, BASCOM

Funeral services were held for Guy Osborn Gould, 74, Edgewood, on Thursday, May 13, 1982 at Witt Funeral Home with burial in the Union Cemetery. Rev. David Dennison officiated. Pallbearers were: Dwight Rodas, Bill Sadewasser, Ernest Harbaugh, Daryl Dahling, Willard Mueller and Cecil Hankins.

He was born September 24, 1907, in LaPorte City, Indiana, to John and Maggie Gould. On January 4, 1930, he married Emiline Zimmerman at Toledo, Iowa. They became the parents of three children and farmed in the Elkader area, later retiring to the Littleport area. Death occurred Tuesday, May 11, 1982, at Central Community Hospital.

Survivors include: his wife, Emiline; two sons, Guy Eugene, Edgewood, and Arthur Lee, Shellsburg; one daughter, Genevieve Stifel, San Benito, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, David, Galena, Mo. and Lee, Cedar Rapids.

Preceding him in death were: his parents and two brothers, Benny and Johney.

Note: his wife Emiline remarried after his death, to Jessie 'Glenn' Bascom (1919-2012) and they lived in Benton county, Iowa.
