Mrs. Arthur Flexman died at her residence on a farm near McGregor. Tuesday, Jan 16th, 1894, after a long and painful illness of several years. The funeral was held at the house Thursday, the Rev. Marshall officiating.

Martha Jane Barnhart (BARNHOUSE), daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Frances Barnhart (BARNHOUSE) was born in Carrol Cty. Ohio, August 9, 1845. In the fall of 1857 the family moved west, and settled in Clayton Twp. Deceased was united in marriage to Arthur Flexman, Dec. 21, 1865. To this union were born five children, four of whom survive her. Mrs. S. Gween, Mrs F. Siegle, and Sadie and Bessie at home with the sorrowing husband.

The funeral was largely attended by friends and relatives, the family being all present to witness the last rites. The heart fel sympathy of all the community is extended to the bereaved ones.

Cards of thanks: The family of Arthur Flexman lately bereaved by the loss of a kind wife and mother wish to express their gratitude to those neighbors and friends who showed so great kindness in caring for the lost one and in assisting them during their hour of deep affliction.
