Clayton County Register, Thur., 12 May 1932.

Mrs. Louis Matt went to Floodwood, Minn., Saturday to attend the funeral of her brother, Wm. J. Wolter, who died at his home there last Thursday morning at the age of 65 years. Deceased was born on a farm in Jefferson township, Clayton county, where he grew to manhood. Thirty-seven years ago he left Guttenberg and went to Bancroft, Iowa, to reside, later engaging in farming in North Dakota. For a time he also resided at Litchfield, Minn. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, two daughters, two brothers, John and George Wolter of Guttenberg; one sister, Mrs. Louis Matt, of Guttenberg; two half-brothers, Henry Wolter of North Buena Vista, and Matt Wolter of Guttenberg; one half-sister, Mrs. Edward Schoenauer, of Guttenberg; three grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends, who will sadly miss him. The funeral was held at Floodwood, Monday.
