Clayton County Register, Thur., 12 May 1932.

C. C. McGregor, 65, colored, of Dubuque, was struck by a train on the main line of the Milwaukee road between Clayton and Guttenberg last Thursday evening at about 10:30, and killed instantly.

A coroner's inquest was held in Marquette Friday morning, May 6th, at 10:30 by County Coroner Leslie Oelke of Elkader with E. L. Spaulding, McGregor, W. J. Roach, Elkader, and H. E. Smith of Marquette as members of the jury.

Two witnesses, Paul Baecker, engineer and Arthur Ludtke, fireman, were heard. The jury found that the unfortunate man's death was accidental.
