Clayton County Register, Thur., 12 May 1932.

Rose E., eleven months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Nelson, accidentally drowned in a ten-gallon crock in Marion township at about 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. That was the verdict of the coroner's jury composed of H. E. Grother and Harold Roach of this place and Otto J. Blockhus of Marion township.

Mrs. Nelson is living with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Frederick in Marion township. The mother and grandmother were in the front of the house when they missed the child. Search revealed that the little one had fallen into the crock with fatal results.
