The death of Mrs. Margaret C. Dunn occurred Feb. 21st at St. Mary's Convent, Milwaukee, Wis., where she had been for some time, due to ill health.
Mrs. Dunn was born in Boston, Mass., Dec. 9, 1852. In 1877 she was married to M. P. Dunn, and went to housekeeping here in Elkader. Mr. Dunn and two sons preceded her in death. Two sons and a daughter remain to mourn the loss of a loving mother. They are: Harry F. Dunn, Rockford, Ill.; George C. Dunn, Waukasha, Wis.; Mrs. L. M. Hickey, Juneau, Wis., besides many friends who deeply mourn the passing of a true friend.
The funeral on Tuesday at St. Joseph's church was largely attended. Father Taken paid tribute to her virtues in his sermon. Those who came for the funeral from a distance were George Gipson, Merrill, Wis.; T. R. Dunn, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. J. T. Lillis, Independence, Ia.; Mrs. Earl Dunn, Manchester; Mr. and Mrs. James Dunn, West Union; Mr. and Mrs. Clem Dunn, Central City; Miss Winnie Dunn, Waverly. The Pallbearers were Frank Nugent, Roy Leibrock, Dan Gleason, Frank Liddy, George Nugent and Pat Downey. Interment was made in St. Joseph's cemetery.
