Mrs. J. J. Heilman died in McGregor, Iowa, Monday, February 29th, 1932, at the age of 86 years. Louise Kathern (Schlund) Heilman was born in Grant county, Wis., February 26th, 1846, and at the time of her death had reached the ripe old age of 86 years and three days.

Deceased was married at Prairie du Chien, Wis., March 22, 1863 to John Jacob Heilman. After their marriage they settled on a farm in Mendon township in this county, where she made her home for over sixty years. She, with her son John and family moved to McGregor, where she had made her home up to the time of her death. Mr. Heilman preceded her in death 24 years ago last January.

Grandma Heilman had been gradually failing for a few weeks and the end came peacefully at 3:30 Monday afternoon. She leaves to mourn her loss five children: Mrs. H. D. Brown, Elkader; G. J. Heilman, McGregor; Mrs. C. H. Wiegan, Monona; J. C. Heilman, McGregor and H. W. Heilman, Fort Dodge. One brother, John J. Schlund, Anaheim, Calif., seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
