Elkader Register, Thur., 21 March 1901. McGregor column.

Mrs. Austin Adney died at her husband's home Saturday, after several weeks illness, starting with the grippe. She was only 19 years old and had been married five years. She leaves a husband and two little children. The funeral was held Monday and the roads were so bad that it was with difficulty that the carriages could reach the cemetery.

Note: Burial is in Pleasant Grove cemetery, McGregor. The obit of Austin Adney names her as Josephine Burrows, his 1st wife.
