Jenkins, Bernice 1900 - 1901

On Sunday morning the sad news was conveyed to our people that the little daughter, Bernice, of H. G. Jenkins and wife had passed away to her heavenly home. The little one had been ill with lung fever and it was thought that all danger had passed, but a relapse came which could not be overcome, although all that medical aid and motherly care could do was done, but without avail and the tender cords that bound it to earth were broken, leaving only the fondest memories for the heart-broken parents. Little Bernice was born Sept. 18, 1900, and was 5 months and 28 days old at the time of her demise. The funeral was held Tuesday at the residence with interment in the City cemetery.
