Clayton County Register, Thur., 8 Jan. 1959. Elkport column.
William L. McLane, 81, retired farmer, died suddenly Saturday morning, Jan. 3, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clifford Taylor.
Services were held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Elkport, at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Clair Biegler officiating. Burial was in the Mount Harmony cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Ruby) Taylor, four granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
