Mrs. Eva Holliday Bunting, 79, of Edgewood died at Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Manchester, Thursday, March 12, 1959. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 14, at 1:30 p.m. at the Edgewood Congregational Church, with the Rev. Murlin Hansel officiating. Burial was in the family lot in Union cemetery at Littleport. Music was furnished by Dale Jonson, vocalist, accompanied by Mrs. Donald Woeste at the organ. Pallbearers were: Walter Reimer, Lorrain Thein, Louis Bottelman, Fred Boege, Fred Scheer and Harold Liddy.
Eva Holliday Bunting, daughter of John and Rachel Holliday, was born in Caledonia, Minn., July 4, 1879, and died March 12 after a long illness.
She was married in 1897 to John Fishel, and to this union three children were born, Claude, Pauline and Mildred.
She was married on Jan. 18, 1911, to William Bunting, and to this union was born one son, Wayne.
She had been a member of the Congregational Church of Edgewood for five years, and before that was a member of the Baptist Church of Manchester.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bunting; one brother, Walter Holliday; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Arndt and Mrs. Jennie Kitchen.
She is survived by her four children, Claude Fishel of Strawberry Point; Mrs. Bert (Pauline) Benson of Oelwein; Mrs. Elmer (Mildred) Sammon of Kansas City, Kan.; and Wayne Bunting of Edgewood, with whom she lived.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Ernst of West Union, and Mrs. Emma Arndt of Friendship Haven, Fort Dodge; and many friends and neighbors.
