Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 3, 1959, for Ervin Willie at his home, near Elkport, at 1:30 p.m. to the St. John's E. & R. Church, Garber, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. Burial was at the Musfeldt cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Martin Waterman, Lawrence Waterman, Bill Straus, Wilbert Hoffman, Lawrence Thein and Martin Schulte.
Ervin Ferdinand Willie, son of Henry and Emma Waterman Willie, was born June 28, 1904, at Elkport, and died of a heart attack Saturday, Feb. 28, 1959, at his home one mile southwest of Elkport at the age 54 years and 8 months.
Mr. Willie received his education at the Rock school in Elk township; was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical Lutheran church at Elkport.
He was a farmer and lived his entire life on the same farm.
Mr. Willie was united in marriage to Eloise Fritz at Manchester, Oct. 11, 1933.
Mr. Willie suffered a heart ailment for the past nine months but was able to carry on his work until the day of his death.
He was preceded in death by his father, a son, Dean Duane, and a brother, both died in infancy.
He is survived by his wife and one son, Larry Gene, at home and the following brothers and sisters: Delorse Willie, Elkport; Wilbert Willie, Garber; Realto Willie, Manchester; Mrs. Ray (Gladys) Moser, Guttenberg; Mrs. John (Laura)
Latteyer, Greeley; Mrs. Floyd (Bertha) Williams, Elkport; Mrs. Ernest (Velma) Groth, Garber; and Mrs. George (Orvilda) Groth, Guttenberg.
