A requiem high mass was celebrated by the Rev. Joseph L. Kissling at St. Michael's Catholic Church Saturday, Nov. 21, for Vincent L. Amling, 37, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Amling.

Vincent was born at Garber March 28, 1922, and died Nov. 18 at Riverview Hospital in Guttenberg.

He served in the armed forces.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; and eight-month-old son, Carson; four brothers, Wilbert of Dubuque, George of Elkport, Frank and Arthur of Elkader; three sisters, Mrs. Wilbur (Helen) Hoffman of Edgewood; Mrs. Harold (Ethel) Schutte of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Elno (Goldie) Hoffman of Elkader. His parents and four brothers preceded him in death.

Burial was in St. Michael's cemetery near Elkport. Pallbearers were Verni Koehn, Harvey Tompkins and Leland Tompkins of Guttenberg, Bertram Hoffman of Edgewood, Wayne Amling of Dubuque, and Linus Amling of Elkport.

The American Legion took part in the services from the church to the cemetery.
