Mrs. Erwin Fette, nee Florence Minnie Eberhardt, died at her farm home in Read township October 24, 1959, at 3:40 a.m.

She was born October 7, 1917, in Read township to Mr. and Mrs. Louis Eberhardt where she attended school and graduated from Garnavillo high school in 1934.

She was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church where she was a member all her life except for seven years when she was a member of the Norway Lutheran Church of St. Olaf.

Florence was married to Erwin Fette October 7, 1937, and was the mother of two daughters and an adopted daughter.

She participated in many activities. She was superintendent of the Sunday school, a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the choir until her death. She held offices in the Ladies Aid including the presidency. She was a leader for many years of the Ful-O-Pep 4-H club and an active member in the Friendly Neighbor Women's Club.

She had been in ill health for the past two years and at the time of death was 42 years and 17 days old.

Florence is survived by her husband, Erwin Fette, and three daughters; Betsy, Mrs. Richard Recknor of St. Charles, Mo., Lois and Debra at home, one granddaughter Robyn Lynn Recknor; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Eberhardt; two sisters, Mrs. Milton (Anna Mae) Kramer of Elkader, and Mrs. Haldon (Marie D.) Reimer of Elkader; and three brothers, LeRoy of Elkader, Floyd of St. Olaf, and LuVern of Elkader; nieces and nephew.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Zion Lutheran Church at Clayton Center at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. J. H. Zerhusen officiating.

Burial was in Zion Lutheran cemetery at Clayton Center.

Pallbearers were Delbert Lamker, Leon Hoth, John Maehl Jr., Harley Glawe, Harold Glawe and Francis Behning.
