Died on Saturday, November 16, 1889, Michael Barton, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Barton, aged 17 years, 7 months and 7 days.

For the past two years he has been a great sufferer form a complication of diseases which terminated in consumption. He was patient and cheerful, never complaining, and was a favorite with all who knew him. His many friends were won by his happy disposition and he was the life of every gathering where he was present. He will be greatly missed by his schoolmates, all of whom loved him.

The funeral was held at the Cox Creek Catholic church, Monday, November 18, and was largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev. Father Rowe, of Strawberry point. The tender sympathy of the entire community is with Mr. and Mrs. Barton in their great lost
