McGregor, Ia. - Services for Mrs. Blanche Marsh Comstock, 75, were held at the Pilkington funeral home in McGregor Sunday, the Rev. Paxton Smith conducting the service. Burial was in the Giard cemetery.
Death occurred Friday at the McGregor hospital, a few days after she had been brought there by ambulance from a nursing home in Des Moines, Ia., where she had been a patient for several months.
She was born on a farm in Giard township on July 4, 1871*, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Marsh, Clayton county pioneers. On May 1, 1897 she married Henry Comstock of Chicago. They lived in Chicago for more than 20 years, then came to McGregor where the husband died August 25, 1921. She had lived since mostly in Des Moines and McGregor.
Surviving are four sisters: Mrs. Frank Kinsley, of McGregor; Mrs. Clara Gadsey, of St. Joseph, Mo., Marian Marsh, of McGregor and Mrs. John Boyle, of Omaha, Nebr.; and two brothers, Dexter Marsh of Des Moines and Ben Marsh, of Steamboat Springs, Colo.
